Pantone's 2017 Spring Color Trends

Happy first day of fall! It's hard to believe it could really be fall with a 92 degree temp today - here's hoping it's soon those fabulous fall days we've been dreaming of in Tennessee! With the arrival of fall, fashion and trend lookers are already thinking of next spring so Pantone has announced their 2017 spring color trends. We've done a litte graphic of spring instead of the standard swatches for a change of pace. If you're planning a wedding, redecorating or pretty much anything for the next few months, you'll see these colors popping up around you - especially once the holidays come and go. Spring, Speckled Eggs, Bunny and Watercolor

It's hard to believe that it's almost the end of March. March is that month that's very dynamic - from weather, life events and just general change in the world around me. Honestly, it has history of being THE big event month for me. LOTS of Big (wait, huge) things all have happened in March. Some have been great, some have been bad/sad/bittersweet, but they all have been BIG and life-changing. In the world of paper goods, it tends to be a really busy month - and this year's been no exception. So, in celebration of Spring, Easter and the dynamic March that is, here's some fabulousness featured on Wedding Chicks of the cutest speckled eggs, a bunny named Butterfinger and some really awesome watercolor paper goods... with the amazing styling of Firefly Events Nashville and captured perfectly by the uber-talented Jenna Henderson.

Hannah & Josh's Wedding

We're on the way to getting our to-do list more under control than it's been all year (which we are never-ending thankful for, but also quite stressed) and we have lots of great work to show off! We're starting off this week with Hannah and Josh's amazing letterpress suite. We loved getting to work on this - simply romantic, understated and elegant. Spring 2013 - Color Trends by Pantone

It's Fashion Week in NYC and that means that Pantone (THE color people) have released their colors to watch for in Spring 2013. It's hard to think about spring colors when we're just starting fall wedding season, but if you're planning 2013 wedding for the spring and summer, it's a great time to have these colors to consider! (now, what color will the 2013 Color of the Year be??) My guess (and we'll just see if it's right...) is a shade of green.

2012 Pantone colors from Fashion Week

It's Fall Fashion Week in New York City and with that, Pantone (THE color people) have released their 2012 spring colors - which we'll see popping up in all sorts of ways over the next year... So, here they are! After almost a week of rain in Tennessee, the colors, so bright and happy, make us smile. Can't you just see all the new fashions - wedding and non-wedding- that will start popping as the spring line up blooms!

Seeing Green (Helllllo Spring!)

Happy Spring! I had intended to get this post out for last week, but it's May wedding invitation production time in the studio so it's been incredibly busy! Everywhere you look there is paper - glorious, wonderful paper!

As the flowers and leaves are popping out, I started thinking about the change of seasons and thought back to my college days when I'd drive from my hometown to college after weekend visits... Spring was fabulous because going down the mountain, there would be a billion shades and tints of green all popping out. So as Spring comes to you - look up and out and see all those shades of green. And then... think of other color combinations that are really great with green these days. I made up a few color combinations that I've played around with lately... Think of purples/pinks/reds as complimentary to green giving it warmth and contrast. The blues give it a calming, more relaxed scheme and then of course the basic colors of black, grey, and brown... All of which green is fabulous with!

Color Trend Alert!

One of my favorite things to do around the time the seasons change is to try to figure out what the color of the season will be. This fall, grey and purple are everywhere and they make a beautiful combination. Have you ever wondered who comes up with the it colors that everyone in the design industry use? Well the company who decided what colors will be in your fall wardrobe is Pantone. I thought we might give you girls who are still trying to decide on your colors a sneak peek into what trends 2009 will bring us.
